Every time you need an effect, you open the Effects panel, expand folder after folder, type a name, and scroll through a messy tree to find the one you want. Need an adjustment layer? Find the tiny button at the bottom of the Project panel, usually hidden behind your timeline, then drag it into place. It’s clunky, and you do it hundreds of times a week.

Frequently asked questions.
Every effect that comes with Premiere — video and audio effects,
transitions, adjustment layers — plus shortcuts like “scale 50”. Presets
are the exception: only ones built for Pilot show up.
The search bar, forever. Open it from anywhere, type any Premiere effect or
transition, and it’s on your clip — no card, no nag
screen. Pro is a one-time $97 upgrade that adds keybinds, creating adjustment layers and
graphics, saved Favorites, and priority support. If you never upgrade, nothing you had
stops working.
Any Premiere effect, any Sparvol preset, a new adjustment layer, or a
graphic. Set them in the Settings tab. Bound items skip the search entirely — press
the key and it's on the clip you clicked. Keybinds are a Pro feature.
Yes — Mac and Windows both, with a native launcher for each. The
default shortcut is ⌥Space on Mac and Alt+Space on Windows, and you can change it.
No. Pilot sits quietly outside the timeline and only talks to Premiere at the
moment you apply something. It doesn't render, transcode, or touch your media.
No. One payment, yours for good, updates included. I don't sell
subscriptions for tools you run on your own machine.
Probably not, and I'd rather say so up front. Presets have to be authored a
particular way for Pilot to read them — it's an awkward process and almost nobody builds
them like that. My packs are built that way, and the free sample pack included with Pilot
shows you what that feels like. Every effect that comes with Premiere works regardless.
Any reasonably current Premiere Pro. If your install is a few years old and
something misbehaves, email me and I'll sort it out.

I purchased all the packs, and they’ve been a game-changer for my work, they make everything so seamless! I absolutely love them. However, I feel in SFX and Logo pack there could be more presets. On the bright side, Torsten mentioned that updates to the packs are coming soon, which is exciting.

Even though I already had my own editing workflow, AutoReel made it so much smoother. I used to spend so much time rough cutting my videos myself. Now I just pull up AR, and use my preset to do the rough cut and bad takes. My ONLY job now is to make the video look sick and flow well, which is what an editor is supposed to do... So glad this exists.

I didn't expect Pilot to be much. thought it would be confusing and just something small. But it is so much more than I thought. Bro I usually feel stupid looking for effects. Premiere makes it so clunky and I just lose my flow state. Now I press space bar and just type "zoom" and add it. I type "adj" and add an adjustment layer. I don't even have to drag it, I just click it and it appears where I already am. So cool man. Dope product, better than expected.
